ABOUT ME...
I’ve always been passionate about the fact that everyone (however young or old) deserves the right to fulfil their potential in a healthy and supported way.
I’ve worn many professional hats over the years (e.g. piano teacher, classroom teacher, supply teacher, project manager, higher education manager, virtual assistant for small businesses, foster panel member, trauma trainer, coach, therapist) and have taken valuable learning from each and every role which I draw from in my therapeutic work and training. I also draw on personal experience of battling infertility, adoptive parenting, what I’ve learned through advocating for my childrens’ SEN and from a wide network of family, friends and fellow professionals.
I’m a self-confessed multipotentialite (love that word!) with a particular interest in music, especially singing and playing the piano, and in all things ‘psychology’. I also follow football as a season ticket holder for a local club and enjoy meeting new people and learning from others.
I’m wife to Jason, and mum to two wonderful children with additional support needs and a lively cockapoo with separation anxiety who all keep me on my toes, inspire me to work on myself each day, and to share my experience and knowledge of the impact of trauma in as accessible a way as possible to make a difference to those around me.
